Rockies game!

Neviah attended her first baseball game last week!  Rockies were playing Houston and although we got crucified on the baseball diamond, Nevi seemed to really enjoy herself; the crowd, the music, and lights were all extremely fascinating to her!  Definitely something we'll do again very soon.  The first picture is of Nevi in my suitcase as I was packing for our Rockford trip.  We decided by her reaction that she preferred not to travel in the cargo compartment so she ended up on my lap during the flight and was a perfectly behaved baby.  phheeeww!  What a trooper.  The pix of our Rockford trip will be coming soon.........

Mother's Day here in Colorado was a cool, overcast and wet day, so we decided to stay indoors!
We celebrated by doing as little as possible, watching a movie  and ordering pizza.  I received 3 gifts for Mother's Day- one from Robb, one from Dylan and one from Nevi.  It was my best first Mother's Day ever!

7-9 weeks...

Nevi's  2 month doctor check up was this week!  Nothing was determined that we didn't already know... she's healthy as can be.  Weight: 12.2 lbs, Height 23 (plus) in. Head circumference 15 cm.  Neviah is really becoming a little person now, smiling a lot, attentive and responding to us and her environment with intrigue and curiosity.  She is quite the character as she talks (coos really) a lot ~ with these vocalizations, we're getting a glimpse into what her little talking voice might sound like!  We've had an incredible 5 days straight...she has been crying/fussing less and has exhibited a happiness and contentedness that makes us, as parents, feel like we're doing good for her and meeting her array of needs.  This may be in due in part to her increased nighttime sleeping patterns.  She now sleeps anywhere from 4-7 hours straight most nights between feedings.  We're establishing a bedtime routine, which alters slightly each evening according to her level of tiredness but it's definitely a start.  We walk almost daily in our new ErgoPack that Jan (Gramma Mom) bought us when she visited.  She LOVES the movement, so much so that she falls asleep grinning almost immediately on our hikes.    Definitely a mover and a shaker!  We can also get a lot done around the house with this blessed ErgoPack and still have her close to us, which we all love.  We all took our first overnight roadtrip to Laramie Wyoming to visit Aunt Kristin, Uncle Keith and cousins, Gavin & Ella a few weekends ago.  Nevi was quite the trooper on this 2 hour drive and seemed to love the commotion her cousins make during play.  Additionally, Nevi and I are taking our first airplane trip together next weekend to visit Grandma Pat in Illinois, a 4 day adventure.  We're getting as much in a possible before I return to work June 1st.  Love you all, from the Seals........
