We had the BABY!
It was an amazing experience (although excruciating for Kate), but on Friday March 6 (03/06/09), our little daughter
Neviah Katherine Seal (Nevi Kay)
was born at Boulder Community (Foothills) Hospital
She was 7 lbs 0 oz, 19.5 inches
and the cutest little thing we've ever seen!
She has dark hair and dark eyes, and was born naturally without pain medicaiton, just like we had hoped.
Kate went into labor on Thursday just before 5 PM. Contractions got stronger and closer together after about an hour, and by 8:00, we were on our way to the hospital. She labored throughout the night, and was fully dilated by 5 AM. Her water broke right when she started pushing, and less than 2 hours later, little Nevi K was here!

Pictures of Neviah's first stroller ride and 'sponge bath'. The stroller ride proved to be a bit much, too soon, as she ended up spitting up with hiccups most of the time. So now we just walk together with my front carrier for our outside time. We are growing and changing day to day and just when we think we've got a little routine going, it all changes! Lots of ups and downs and naps when we can. Nevi Kay has our full attention and all of our love...
